FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: How do you inflate the bouncy castle when you have delivered & deflate it when you need to take it away?
A: Our bouncy castles are inflated using electric fan blowers. They are simply plugged in to a suitable socket in your house or out building; we supply long extension cables and power breakers with all castles so you don't need a socket nearby. To deflate the castle, simply unplug the fan and it will slowly collapse (just make sure nobody is using the castle at the time!).
Q: What happens if it’s raining or particularly bad weather on the day of the booking?
A: For outdoor hires, the equipment must not be used in heavy rain or windy conditions. In the event of rain, remove all users from the equipment until the rain has past, then dry off any water with a towel before use continues. The industry recommends a maximum wind speed of Force 5 on the Beaufort scale of 28 - 38 kph (19-24 mph) when using inflatables. Force 5 is a fresh breeze when small trees and leaves begin to sway, whereas Force 6 is a strong breeze when large branches are in motion, whistling can be heard in telephone lines and umbrellas can only be handled with difficulty. We keep an eye on weather conditions via the Meteorological Office, as a guide overall for the day. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/guide/weather/marine/beaufort-scale. If the overall outlook is predicting wind speeds higher than safe to use or there is torrential rain, we will call to cancel your hire and offer an alternative date. However, in general we also use an anemometer when setting up to check the wind speeds for your particular set up area. This is more accurate, as it allows us to ensure the castle is safe to inflate and use. We will never set up if predicted speeds are above safe levels and if we are concerned of weather changes at all during your hire we will call to advise and collect earlier if necessary.
Q: How much space do I need for a bouncy castle?
A: The dimensions of our castles are shown in our gallery page and on each product items.
Q: What kind of access do you need when you deliver the castle?
A: The castles are wheeled into position using a cart, so we will need a standard size path to get the castle into your garden or venue. If you have a lot of steps or a tight entrance way, please let us know so that we can assess the access. Some of our inflatables require extra access, please check each inflatable description and give us as much information about the route to where you want the product before delivery.
Q: Can the bouncy castles go indoors?
A: Yes the bouncy castles can go indoors but you must check the height of the ceiling before booking. The ceiling must be higher than the height of the castle booked. Heights of all our castles are on our website on each product page
Q: Are you fully insured, if a child gets injured who's to blame?
A: We carry 5 million pounds worth of public liability cover, however as per our terms and conditions we cannot be held liable for any injuries caused whilst the castle is in your care. You are the sole person responsible for the castle and it's use and therefore should anything happen, you are liable to a claim as the hirer. Our Public Liability covers US against set up faults or faulty equipment etc.
Q: How much notice do I need to give to book a castle?
A: As much notice as possible. During busy times we book up well in advance, so let us know as soon as you have a date in mind, we will do our best to accommodate you.
Q: Do you charge for cancellation?
A:We don't charge a cancellation fee, so please give us as much notice as possible, so that we can hire the castle out to somebody else.
Q: When the castle is delivered, do I have to set it up myself or do you do it?
A: The delivery person will completely set up the castle, give you a demonstration on how to use it safely and then leave it in your control. When we turn up to collect the castle, we will also dismantle it.
Q: How many children/adults are allowed on the castle?
A: Each castle has different limits. Please note children's castles should never be used by heavier adults, remember the hirer is responsible for any damage.
Q: Is it OK to put a bouncy castle on my lawn, will it cause much damage?
A: We actually prefer to put the bouncy castle on a lawn area. For safety reasons we must hammer in securing pegs to hold the castle down during use. The castle will have a ground sheet placed under it so the grass will not come to any harm. The holes left over from the securing pegs will disappear after a few days.
Q: How long do I get to keep the bouncy castle?
A: We usually deliver the castles first thing in the morning and then collect them later on that day, all our delivery and collection times are on the product links. If you want it for more than one day please mention this when you book, this will of course be reflected in the price.
Q: Am I allowed to hire this castle from you and then charge people to use the castle?
A: Yes you are, but you must bear in mind that you are in charge and must make sure that people who use the castle are safe, don't overload the castle to try to make extra money. As the hirer you are liable for any damages.
Q: Are your units safe? Will you teach me how to have a safe day of fun?
A: Yes, they are designed from the ground up with safety in mind. In addition, we review all safety rules with you prior to use. While no one can guarantee safety, we do everything we can to promote safe use of our products to ensure your day is filled with fun, not hospital visits.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Prices start from as little as £65 for a children's castles. All the prices are on the individual castles and products on our website
Q. What if it rains?
A: Some of our castles come with shower covers and all our extension leads are fully showerproof, so showers won't stop play!
Q: My garden slopes a bit - will that be OK?
A: Yes. A slight slope is not a problem. Typically, we will place the entrance of the unit at the top of any slope. If the slope is more than a little, we may not be able to set up in that location. Your installer may request an alternate location so please have one in mind. The safety of the children is the most important consideration when selecting a setup area.
Q: Does it need electricity? How much does it use?
A: Yes. We will bring an extension cord with us, so you'll need an outlet near the set up area. The blower runs continuously and uses approximately £0.20 of electricity per hour. Your hair dryer uses more than that!
Q: What time do you deliver and pickup the bouncy castle
A: Please note the delivery times are between 7:00am - 1:00PM & collection times are 5:00pm - 9:00pm
